Kay was injured when she was placed in a box and tossed out of a vehicle.
Her eye had to be removed.
She is an affectionate healthy spayed and vaccinated almost 6 month
old female who needs a loving home and family.
Tot..at 5 weeks of age was being tossed in the air by a ruthless young
male.
An elderly lady shouted at him to stop throwing this tiny kitten in
the air.Instead of stopping ,the kitten was thrown directly at the woman.
Fortunately it was caught and gently cradled in the lady's arm.
She then took i to the nearest vet who called Kittenaide.
This little scrap of fur had a damged eye and underwent surgery the
next day.
He is now recovering at one of Kittenaide's foster homes.
Riley
It always makes the Kittenaide group feel good when their is a very
happy ending to a lost pet.
We have reunited a Siamese mix -Riley with his guardians after he went
missing nearly three months ago.
Angel Kennedy
A gentle giant Kennedy was found in obvious distress a couple of weeks
ago.(January of 2008)
He had been dumped in rural area and suffered severe lacerations on
his lower back.
They were infected and required sugery and drainage tubes were inserted.
During this process he was also neutered. He will remain in the hospital
until the sutures and tubes can be removed.
Then he will need a foster or forever home. If interested in helping
with Kennedy's medical expenses or adoption call Linda at 519-324-2729.
Kennedy slipped away in his sleep Monday. He appeared to be thriving
and recovering from his abcesses.
He suffered a setback one week ago but again bounced back. Prayers
and sympathy to the family who tried to save this abandoned cat.
Godspeed to the Bridge ... Angel Kennedy
Nancee
Nancee, an enchanting four month old female tabby kitten was found

receiving her vaccines and treatment was adopted and now has her forever
home!
Tiny Tim's Story
Early in December of 2007, a car stopped in front of a house in the
county. The interior lights flashed as a door quickly opened and something
was thrown high into the air.
All the resident could see was a white blur and then the door closed
and then the vehicle sped away.Curiosity led the homeowner out to the driveway
just in time to see
a small orange and white cat limping painfully across the lawn.It took
nearly two weeks of coaxing and feeding to catch this injured feline. He
was taken into
the vet's just prior to Christmas.Unfortunately his leg had been torn
out of the socket at the hip joint and had already formed scar tissue.Tiny
Tim was transferred
to the Kittenaide Nursery. He received the TLC and medical attention
that he needed to recover.
Although he may always have a slight limp, Tim is now in his forever
home in Merlin and safe.

Meet Hudson

His Story:
Hudson was found three days ago barely alive submerged in water on
a pool cover in Leamington.Suffering from hypothermia and malnutition he
was rushed to the vet's.
There he was dried off and placed on a heating pad.Hudson was so weak
he couldn't stand.Further examination showed that he suffered damge to
his right paw.
Saturday's vist to check on his status told a different story.Hudson
got up on three legs and tentively tried to apply pressure to his right
foot.
What a difference , warmth, a full belly and TLC can make.He will be
sent to the Kittenaide nursery to continue his recovery.
When well,he will be neutered and placed up for adoption.
The following are from 2007 and Portia and Buster have been adopted.
This is Buster.
Update! I have been adopted!

He has suffereed an injury to his right foreleg.

He is between 6 & 8 months old and not neutered.
At present he is in the hospital being treated and
will be neutered if surgery is required to repair his leg.
He is a soft grey male tabby and very friendly.
Meet Portia
Update! I have been adopted!
Update!
A small one year old grey female cat was left on my doorstep this week.
She was placed under a plastic laundry basket weighted down with a
piece of concrete.
Under the stone there was a note.
I found her at 9PM ..no idea how long she had been there.I carefully
placed her into a kennel.
Her hind quarters were bloodied and raw."Portia"an eloquent name for
a porch kitty who underwent surgery
the next day to clean and suture the wound(s).She was spayed
and vaccinated as well and is now on antibiotics
and recovering here in a Kittenaide foster home.If you would like to
donate to Portia's care please send your gift
