THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

"Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill or old are restored to health and vigor;
those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing;
they each miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together,
but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent;his eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass,
his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet,
you cling to each other in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face;
your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet,
so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together........"

FLOPSY CUDDLES BONBON
February 18th 1997-June 27th 2006
He came into our lives and changed us forever.
He taught us that a cat wasn't "only a cat". He
was kind, patient, gentle and understanding. He
is sorely missed, and will be forever in our hearts.
Until we meet again,
my big guy, at the Rainbow Bridge.

Boeing
Rainbow Bridge - September 19, 2007
Boeing has passed away this morning.  He died of liver
failure at the young age of nine months. He came to us as
a stray just over a month ago. He had an infected injury
and was malnourished. All of his medical needs were
taken care of immediately plus he was neutered and
vaccinated. As soon as his sutures were removed,
Boeing was brought into foster care and put up for
adoption. This gentle cat had a purr motor that rumbled
like the 747 he was named after. He was to go to his new
family at the end of this month. Fly high sweet Boeing.

Angel Chubz
Chubz aka Chevy went to the Bridge in
October of 2007.  Rest in Peace Little One.

The Rose Beyond The Wall

A rose once grew where all could see
sheltered beside a garden wall
And as the days passed swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall.

One day, a beam of light shone through
a crevice that had opened wide
The rose bent gently toward its warmth
then passed beyond to the other side...

Now, you who deeply feel its loss,
be comforted the rose blooms there
Its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by God's own loving care.

He passed away at 1 year and 11 months.
Rest In Peace Satan Baby
April 26th 2005 to March 26th 2007
After all the suffering and pain I had to watch you go through, You still loved me and comforted me and cried your good bye to me but it was not a sorrowful cry it was a cry of don't worry Mom we will meet again. Missing him with all my heart. The Poem Rainbow Bridge was enclosed with his cremation card and his beautiful cedar chest, I am glad I could share that with others as others shared it with me and eased my pain, I just wish I could of saved him all of his pain. Satan was one of the Victims of the Menu Food poisoning, may God have mercy on them on judgement day, for all of the Innocents,
that they took from this earth.

Tiny Blazer, not meant to spend her time with us here on earth as quietly passed away this morning.

WITH ANGELS THEY PLAY

They haven't really been taken away.
They have only gone with the Angels to play.
They have been given wings with which to fly.
All their troubles have passed them by.

Their life in heaven now must start.
But we'll hold their memory in our hearts.
Nothing about them will be forgotten.
But now they sleep on billowy clouds of cotton.

Ginger & Pumpkin
Three month old siblings died November 20,2007 as a result of an incurable cat disease.
Ginger was a loving and spunky red head until the end. Her brother Pumpkin was sweet and loving. They didn't deserve to have their life cut short because their momma was allowed to roam free and contracted a dreadful virus. They were loved and will be missed by the volunteers of Kittenaide. Please spay & neuter your pets.
Please keep your cat's vaccinations up to date.

IN OUR HEARTS

We thought of you with love today.
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.

We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart.

Zeus (2002-2009)
It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Zeus passed away on February 12, 2009, one day after the sixth anniversary of his arrival in Canada.  Zeus started his life as an unwanted street dog in Greece, but his was the face seared in our hearts of the many dogs we saw there and we knew that we had to bring him to us.  We will never forget the six wonderful years we had with Zeus.  He taught us so much about love, trust, and living life to its fullest.  The expression on his face was pure joy when he was tearing the stuffing out of a squeaky toy, playing in fresh snow or the Detroit River, digging a hole in our backyard (or someone else's backyard), or curled up on his favourite bed in front of the fireplace.  His skill catching treats in mid-air was amazing and never failed to make us laugh, and we shouldn't have been surprised by his sweet tooth given that he was spending time outside a pastry shop in Greece.  In fact, the day before he died, the only treat that would tempt him was his birthday cheesecake.  Zeus fought a courageous ten-month battle with cancer, and he never let it break his spirit.  He will be sorely missed by best friends Melanie and George, canine siblings Gracie and Riley, and feline siblings Casper and Harry (the other cats probably won't miss him too much).  Zeus made many wonderful human friends in his life, and we're sure he would like to thank all of you who cared about him.  If desired, donations in Zeus's memory may be made to Greek Animal Rescue Canada.  GAR wasn't the group that helped bring Zeus to us, but it is a Canadian charity dedicated to helping other Greek strays in need.

I'm Not There

Don't stand by my grave and weep
For I'm not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond's glint on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn's rain

When you awaken in morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circle flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night

Do not stand by my grave and cry
I am not there. I did not die.

and passed away March 20, 2009. She was loved by her Daddy Bart and Mom Sherry and the kids. She was born in west Virgina, raised till 9 months in Kentucky with her daddy and  mama Peggy when she made her trip to Canada to live with Bart and Sherry.  She was there for the birth of all the children and protected them and loved them. She passed after three weeks of TLC

Wiggles was abandoned by her momma...passed away two weeks after.

God Bless Our Pets
They say memories are golden, well, maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories, I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you, a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place no one could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to heaven and bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Diago July 2007- May 2009
Sadly this gentle giant developed a lymphoma in his kidney area. He was sent to the Rainbow Bridge on May 12. The fireplace mantle is empty but I still see his reflection.
Grandma Linda

If Tears Could Build A Stairway
If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again.
No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good-bye,
You were gone before I knew it, and only God knows why.
My heart's still active in sadness, and secret tears still flow;
What it meant to lose you no one can ever know.
But now I know you want me to mourn for you no more,
To remember all the happy times; life still has much in store.
Since you'll never be forgotten, I pledge to you today:
A hallowed place within my heart is where you'll always stay.

Hi Linda, Its me Debbie.
Could you please put something up for us to remember our best friend Max to my little girl Destiny.  He was her everything, they were together every day. She loved him and  he  loved her too. She played with him and they slept together.  People say that a  cat isn't like a dog but our Max was!  People that came over to the house from  time to time just loved him, he had a way with people that you could not understand unless you met our Max.We only had a year with him,but it was the best  year  we ever had. Max will allways be in our hearts. Max lost his battle with his kidneys,we tried everything. We miss him so much, I feel that what you do .. giving new life for cats is a gift beyond caring. Is like you are an angel and more.  People should be like you and I. Now we are giving a new kitten a chance and I pray that she has a full and wonder fun filled life with our little girl. Please let me know if I can help you in any way. Debbie and thanks to KITTENAIDE

Our Beloved Max

Memorial
Tiny Flo was found ten days ago stuck in the flume pipes at Heinz. She was in hospital for three days and other than some hair loss appeared to be okay. Apparently the fumes caused internal problems.

Rest in Peace Flo
